Qubein: Land Under Contract for Expanded Downtown High Point Events Center
Organizers of downtown High Point's revitalization project have found a home for the $20 million Congdon Events Center, which will be bigger than originally planned. New plans for the events center call for building a 25,000-square-foot facility that will connect to two historic properties – The Factory and Plant Seven at the corner of English Road and Elm Street.
Downtown High Point Will Have Another Addition to its Revitalization by October Furniture Market
As part of a community-wide effort to revitalize downtown High Point, a global innovation and entrepreneurship center geared toward the furniture industry is expected to be partially open by the October furniture market. An initiative called HP365 operating under the Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce, the center will be housed in the 100,000-square-foot former Adams Millis hosiery mill.
